Whether you and your family go berry picking or just swing by the produce section for your boost of blue, there are plenty of good reasons to stock up on blueberries while they are in season.

Brenda Garcia, United Supermarkets' corporate dietician, was telling us recently that blueberries pack about 4 grams of fiber, plus vitamin C and other important nutrients, into each cup. All that with just 80 calories!

For a cool treat, Garcia suggests dipping blueberries in chocolate and freezing them. Or you can mix them with vanilla Greek yogurt, spread the mixture on a sheet, and then freeze it. You can break it apart into chunks to eat like ice cream.
