Oklahoma Announces Fireworks Can Be Sold Year Round with New Bill
Now this is how you celebrate America 250, changing the fireworks laws in Oklahoma.
Oklahoma, like many states across the country, only allowed the sale of fireworks during certain times of the year. Previously in Oklahoma, fireworks could be sold from June 15–July 6 (For Fourth of July) and then from Dec 15–Jan 2 (For New Years). A few other select dates were allowed as well, but special approval was needed. Those dates are now thrown out the window with the Rockets Red Glare Act.

Not only does this bill allow fireworks to be sold year round in the state of Oklahoma. It also allows for fireworks to be used on private property. As long as a burn ban is not in effect in your county and you notify the local fire department, fireworks are good to go. Here is something else I learned about Oklahoma today.
Bottle Rockets Now Legal in Oklahoma for the First Time Since 1981

Even when fireworks stands were open near The Fourth of July and New Year's in Oklahoma, they were not allowed to sell bottle rockets. Now technically the senate bill reads as "the sale and distribution of skyrockets with sticks". Big Blast Fireworks in Tulsa announced they have already ordered 75 cases of bottle rockets after the ban has been lifted.
As always stay safe when using fireworks and have fun Oklahoma! Sounds like it's going to be an epic Fourth of July in the Sooner State.
