Summer 2023 is here, and it's time for the POOLS! Yep, pool season is here in Texas. And one of the easiest ways to have a pool is to put one up! Yep, talking about the above-ground pools. Wasn't there always someone in your neighborhood who had a cool ABOVE-GROUND pool? I can remember one summer our neighbor put up a pool in his front yard. Yep, front yard. Back then I didn't think much of it, but now I look back and think, was that even legal?

I mean, you usually don't see pools in the front yard, right? The only kind of pools you see are kiddie pools, but those are NOT what we are talking about here. We are talking about above-ground pools in which several adults could comfortably sit.

I mean, why would you? But, just in case you were thinking about it, it is indeed ILLEGAL to put up a pool in your front yard in the state of Texas.

According to bncpools.com....

It is important to note that a Texas pool cannot be in the front yard, and it must be at least five feet away from the nearest property line. Failing to follow Texas pool permit laws and local ordinances could result in fines, penalties, lawsuits, and higher insurance costs.
