The Bad Boy Reunion tour is an opportunity to let yourself be captured by the sounds that dominated the charts about two decades ago, and even more importantly, the moments artists from the era created. One of those special moments took place just before the tour's opening show in Chicago last night (Sept. 1).

Presumably moments before Puff Daddy and company took the stage, DMX led the Bad Boy crew in one of his typically impassioned prayers. “Father God, we thank you for this gathering of souls. The word says that when two or more gather in your name you are present, so we thank you for your presence," the "Ruff Ryders Anthem" rapper said in the first part of his prayer.

He continued, "We ask that your grace and blessings are upon this show this evening. We pray that any obstacle the devil plans to place in our path are removed in the name of Jesus!” DMX said. “We pray that there are no fightings, no stabbings, no shootings, no arrests, no drunk drivings, no altercations or incidents whatsoever!”

During that same night, Puff and company brought out Chance The Rapper, who is probably at least as spiritual as DMX. The "Angelsperformer immediately ran through a live rendition of his Coloring Book track, "No Problem."

Lil’ Kim, Mase, Faith Evans, the Lox, 112, Mario Winans, Total, French Montana and Carl Thomas are all set to headline the tour, which will be on the road until Oct. 8. Keep it locked with XXL for more updates.
