Watch New Movie At Movie Theater or Streaming At Home?

Dune is playing here in the 432 at the Theaters. Dune is streaming on HBO Max on your TV or Phone. You have a choice. Is that a good thing?

The pandemic gave us this situation. The situation where you now can choose to WATCH a movie at the Movie Theater or WATCH a movie streaming on your TV or Phone at home. I actually enjoy doing both and for me, it depends on the movie and situation.

WHY WATCHING A MOVIE AT THE MOVIE THEATER IS BETTER...

THE BIG SCREEN, No matter how big your TV is, you can't compete with the big screen at the movie theater.
THE SURROUND SOUND. Again, no matter who expensive your SOUNDBAR IS...still can't compete with the sound at the movie theater.
FOOD!!! The concession stand! No matter what you have in your fridge...can't compete with the HUGE menu they now have at movie theaters And honestly, the home popcorn just really doesn't taste like real MOVIE THEATER POPCORN!
MOVIE TRAILERS! This is an important one for me. I LOVE MOVIE TRAILERS..and honestly if you stream the movie at home your not going to get them.

WHY WATCHING A MOVIE... STREAMING AT HOME IS BETTER...

COST! No matter how cool the movie theater is...it's CHEAPER to watch at home unless you're going to the movie theater by yourself.
WHAT YOU WEAR! You can watch the movie in your underwear if you want. No shoes, blanket and relax. Doesn't matter what you wear.
PAUSE THE MOVIE! Yep, have to go to the bathroom? Just pause the movie and unpause when you get back.

Honestly, I PREFER going to the Movie Theater. It's the whole EXPERIENCE which is awesome. Maybe, I'm just glad that we now have a choice at least for some movies.
