Ask Texas – Went On Date With Guy Who Covered His Half Of The Bill With A Gift Card!

Recently went on a first date with this guy and we had a good time. When the check came we split it down the middle. No problem. Until, he pulled out a gift card for the place. Yep he paid his half with a gift card and still had a balance of $100 dollars on it. I guess it just bothered me that he could of TAKEN care of the whole bill on a gift card, but didn't offer. Rubbed me the wrong way and I'm done. Too harsh?
