Ask Midland Odessa – My Wife Wants To Learn Spanish Because She Thinks My Mom Talks About Her!

Buzz Question - My wife just told me that  she is going to learn SPANISH because she thinks my mom talks about her to my family! This came from nowhere. First off I assured her that she doesn't but NOW I'm a little concerned that she thinks that my mom talks about her. Not sure what's happening here?  Thoughts?

The fact that your wife THINKS your mom WOULD talk about her is probably the issue here. Do yourself a favor and try to figure out what's happening here between your MOM and Wife. Why does your wife feel this way?

Nothing wrong with learning a second language. There is though something wrong with learning a second language because you feel your mother in law is talking about you. Talk to both.
