Have you ever met a fellow Texan for the first time and in casual conversation the topic of where you are both from comes up? Ever been caught off guard by the name of their city and think to yourself, 'what did he/she just say to me?' Just me? Surely not. I met someone from Dickens, TX the other day and my inner 14-year-old boy thought wow, that sounds naughty.

My curiosity got the best of me and I just had to know, exactly how many cities in Texas have 'dirty names.' Humor me and check out the 5 I came up with. Some you may be familiar with others not so much. No offense just having a little naughty fun!

5 NAUGHTY SOUNDING TOWN NAMES IN TEXAS:

1. DICKENS, TX

Located 58 miles east of Lubbock, Dickens has no more than 500 fine folks living in this small town.

2. HEDLEY, TX-

home of the Hedley High School Owls and yet another city northeast of Lubbock. There is a Fat & Happy BBQ restaurant in this small town population of just around 400 and this is exactly the kind of positivity I need in my life!

3. Bedford, TX

A suburb of Dallas and Fort Worth, Bedford got its name from a man by the name of Weldon Bobo who moved to Texas from Tennessee. He and a group of farmers agreed to name it Bedford after a city they moved from in TN.

4. FRISCO, TX

This city is actually very nice with a little naughty! Located in the Metroplex and home to The Star in Frisco, the practice facility of our beloved Dallas Cowboys! Also home to The National Videogame Museum.
