28-year-old Odessa Man Dies in Crash

The Odessa Police Department says a 28-year-old man died early Monday morning after his car struck a sign post and then a utility pole.

It all happened around 1:30AM in the 600 block of E. 42^nd Street. Police say Ruben Pablo Galindo was heading westbound at a high rate of speed when he lost control and hit the sign. The crash spun his 2006 Lincoln LS into a utility pole and then spun it through a parking lot where it hit an unoccupied SUV.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and was the only person inside the car.
