Yo Gotti Scores His Second Platinum Plaque

Yo Gotti collects another W. On Friday (Oct. 6), the Memphis rapper revealed that his Nicki Minaj-assisted single, titled "Rake It Up," has just gone platinum. Understandably, the CMG boss gave props to Nicki and Mike WiLL Made-It in an Instagram post.

"Good Morning! We STILL DOING NUMBERS! #IStillAM #RakeItUp PLATINUM 💿 S/o @nickiminaj x @mikewillmadeit," he wrote in the caption for the post, which features an image of the "Rake It Up" artwork, of course, with the platinum certification sticker in the lower righthand corner.

With its infectious beat, equally catchy hook from Gotti and a dope verse from Nicki, it was always clear the track was going to do big things. The song's potential for crazy commercial success was actualized when it popped up in the top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100 chart back in August. 

"Rake It Up" marks Gotti's second platinum record, with his first one being for "Down in the DM," which was certified twice platinum this past spring. Salute to Gotti.
