Travis Scott Performs “Sicko Mode” and More at 2018 MTV Video Music Awards
Travis Scott brings the electricity of his Astroworld album to the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards in New York City's Radio City Music Hall.
Taking the stage on Monday night (Aug. 20), Scott delivered some energetic live renditions of his "Stargazing," "Sicko Mode" and his James Blake-assisted track, "Stop Trying to Be God." Looking across the stage, we can see a virtual replica of Scott's head/the entrance to a fictionalized, Scott-centric Astroworld theme park. Surrounding his flashy special effects, dancers dressed in all black gear as they bounced around stage, mirroring Scott's energy.
On an awesome note, Scott concluded his performance by proclaiming his status as the person with the No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 albums chart. He also paid respect to the late, great Aretha Franklin before leaving the stage.
Scott's performance was a highlight in a night filled with big-time moments for the world of hip-hop. Taking home trophies at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards were the likes of Cardi B ("Best New Artist), Nicki Minaj (Best Hip-Hop, "Chun-Li"), Post Malone and 21 Savage (Song of the Year, "Rockstar").
