ScHoolboy Q’s Blank Face LP dropped during the worst time in America. The shooting deaths of both civilians and police last week has been weighing heavy on the TDE rhymer.

In an interview with Real 92.3 radio personality Letty, the “THat Part” creator revealed that the past current events, as well as things in his personal life, have made on what should be a joyous occasion for him into a very somber week.

"It's a lot of stuff going on. It ain't just about me and my music. It’s tough times right now," Q said.

"I’m going through some things in my personal life," he continued. "A lot of things crashed into me the day my album dropped. It’s hard for me to enjoy this moment. This is probably one of the worst days of my life. It happens to be the day that my album came out. It’s a little hard for me right now."

It's hard on everybody right now.

ScHoolboy Q also adds that his new album touches on a lot of the issues that black people are facing right now when it comes to police.

"Music is one of the most powerful things ever," he said. "The fact that I'm wrote these verses and these songs a year ago and [these events are] happening right now it's crazy me."

ScHoolboy Q's Blank Face LP is in stores now.
