It's been seven months since the hip-hop world lost Fredo Santana, but for Playboi Carti, the pain of the loss is still a struggle. During a recent show, Carti paid tribute to the Chicago rapper during a performance of the song "Long Time (Intro)," and was moved to tears.

As the Art Dealer-produced tracked played in the background, Carti could been seen sitting on stage with his hand over his face. "I miss Fredo like a muthafucker," Carti told the crowd as he appeared to wipe tears from his face.

Carti has previously paid tribute to Fredo on the song "R.I.P. Fredo (Notice Me)" off of his debut album Die Lit. Produced by frequent collaborator Pi'erre Bourne, the song also features a guest appearance from Young Nudy.

Santana, best known for the songs "Jealous" and "Gun Violence," passed away on Jan. 19 following a seizure. According to a recently revealed autopsy performed by the Los Angeles County coroner, cardiovascular disease was the main factor leading to Fredo's death. Idiopathic epilepsy was also listed as a contributing factor. The rapper had been diagnosed with the genetic disorder a short time after he gave up using Xanax.
