Nicki Minaj covers the new issue of Marie Claire Magazine. Throughout the interview, Minaj discusses a myriad of topics, including how she draws inspiration from Jay Z and how much she enjoys working with Beyoncé.

Minaj tells Marie Claire, “I can look at someone’s career and just pinpoint the dos and the don’ts, and the one person I’ve done that with for my entire career was Jay Z. He did such a great job being an authentic street guy and a businessman, and I was like, 'Why aren’t there women doing that, taking the success from rap and channeling it into their empire?' I felt like anything he could do, I could do.” It's not the first time Nicki has talked about emulating Jay Z. In a 2012 interview with Allure Magazine, the New York native said, "I'm coming for your spot, Mr. Mogul."

In the Marie Claire interview, the 33-year-old artist also spoke on her work with Beyoncé. Nicki says, "Every time Bey and I do something together, I see how women are inspired, and it has nothing to do with how we look. It has to do with how we are owning who we are and telling other women you should be the boss of your own career and the brains behind your life or your decisions or your art. I just love that feeling."

In other Minaj-related news, the "Do You Mind" challenge recently took the Internet by storm. The new challenge consists of Twitter users posting videos of themselves doing their best Nicki impression by dancing while DJ Khaled's “Do You Mind,” which features Nicki, plays in the background.
