Lil Xan Gets Face Tattoos Inspired by Mac Miller and ‘A Clockwork Orange’
Lil Xan may be running out of space on his face for tattoos. After getting an XXXTentacion-inspired tattoo in July, the Total Xanarchy rapper has now debuted the latest ink on his face: a tribute to the late Mac Miller and A Clockwork Orange-inspired tat.
The California artist hopped on Instagram on Sunday (Sept. 9) to show off his new Mac Miller tribute tattoo above his eyebrow, which reads, "MEMENTO MORI." "MOMENTO MORI miss you Mac, y'all can start hating me now," he wrote. Memento mori means an object serving as a warning or reminder of death, such as a skull.
The same day he also gave his fans a closer look at another new face tat and shared a message about why he gets face tattoos. "I do this for me, I could care less if this makes me ugly because that's what I was going for," Xan wrote, showing off the A Clockwork Orange tat, which looks like liquid dripping from his eyelid.
"Ugly is the new Beautiful, well not really but there’s some truth to that,I love you guys 💔," he added.
Xan also shared a few more pictures of his latest tattoo on his Instagram story. "I know I'm ugly I get it," he wrote. "My manager hates me lol." The rapper also revealed the dripping tattoo was inspired by Yung Lean, along with A Clockwork Orange. "Crying Always This one inspired by @yunglean2001... And inspired by clockwork orange duhhh."
The rapper's latest tattoos comes after he defended his controversial comments he made about Tupac Shakur in March. Last week, Xan jumped on Instagram Live to stand by calling Pac's music boring and said fans overreacted. "I did not do anything. After the Tupac shit, ya literally acted like Tupac was your goddamn granddaddy," he said.
