Hours after being officially recognized as a member of the Roc Nation Management roster, Lil Uzi Vert took what appears to be a playful a jab at his fellow Generation Now-Atlantic Records artist, Jack Harlow.

Last night (March 27), Uzi stirred the pot when he uploaded a photo of Harlow with a clown emoji over the rapper's face to his Instagram Story with the caption "free uzi." The photo stems from a picture the Kentucky native took with Generation Now head DJ Drama during his birthday celebration in Las Vegas last weekend.

In his caption for the post, Harlow seems to playfully tease his labelmate about the release of his anticipated album Eternal Atake, but that's up for interpretation.

"Just signed my soul away....double tap if you can’t wait for eternal atake 🙈," Harlow wrote in his Instagram caption on Monday (March 25).

Harlow was signed to Generation Now back in 2018, which was four years after Drama and Cannon signed Uzi to the imprint. While Harlow was focused on pushing his first major label mixtape Loose, Uzi was venting about the struggles of his current deal with the imprint under Atlantic Records. After recently teasing some unreleased music, DJ Drama confirmed that Uzi can drop his Eternal Atake album whenever he wants.

"I really just want [the label] to respect me," Uzi said about the situation in February. "They just gotta respect me, 'cause I respect them. That's the reason why I really went over there. Like normal shit. It's just a different level in life. Everybody go through the same shit."
