Update (May 8):

Jim Jones will not be charged for taking part in a violent fight at a Florida airport that was caught on camera. TMZ reported on May 8 that Florida police believe the Dipset rapper acted in self-defense. According to the police report, Jim Jones informed officers the fight started back on his flight after he stood up to grab his bags from the overhead compartment. Apparently, James Dos Santos took issue with Jones, and pushed him in the chest as they began to exit the plane. Jim Jones then allegedly grabbed Santos' arm, which caused Santos to apologize.

However, another passenger named Alexander Lekht began screaming at Jim Jones from a different seat as they continued to deboard. Police were called to the gate, but Jim Jones declined to report the incident and made his way to baggage claim. Lekht followed the New York rapper and continued to antagonize him, at one point he even tried to make Jones flinch with a jerking motion.

Lekht then attempted a second jerking motion when the two of them were on the escalator, which caused Jones to retaliate and grab Lekht until authorities could detain him. Lekht didn't appreciate the grab, and began to throw some haymakers, which caused Jones to retaliate with some punches of his own. Jones told police that Dos Santos then joined in on pummeling the rapper. Cops said surveillance video supported these claims.

Additionally, a 94-year-old man named James Jackson was wounded in the scuffle and transported to Broward General Hospital for leg pain.

Jim Jones Fights at Florida Airport

On Saturday (May 4), TMZ posted a video featuring Jim Jones getting into a violent fight with two men at an airport. In the clip, which can be viewed below, Capo is tussling with two men near the bottom of an escalator at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Jim throws haymakers at the two individuals and they seem to land on an elderly man's leg causing him to cry out in agony as he tumbles to the ground at the foot of the escalator. But the brawl continues.

It looks as if one of the men was able to get one single punch in before Jim retaliates and punches one man in the head. Sheriff's deputies and security personnel rushed down the escalator and broke up the fight. You can see visibly that one man is bleeding from the head.

Jim is ordered to sit down but one of the men starts getting physical with the officers who warn the man to calm down.

It's unclear what started the fight but the Harlem rhymer reportedly tells TMZ that he was simply defending himself. "I was minding my business and defended myself. They got what they were looking for," he told the media outlet.
