These El Paso Restaurants Are the Hardest Tables to Get Right Now
If there’s one thing El Pasoans take seriously, it’s food. Sure we love a good chain restaurant, but it’s the locally owned spots that El Pasoans really love!
I previously wrote about some of the restaurants in El Paso that locals say are worth the wait and the list had a mix of both chain restaurants and local restaurants.
But what if we look at it from a slightly different perspective? Instead of asking El Pasoans which restaurants are worth waiting for, I recently came across OpenTable’s list of the most booked restaurants in El Paso and immediately had to see which local spots made the cut to see if I agree!

These Are the Most Booked Restaurants in El Paso, According to OpenTable
The list, updated August 5, 2026, highlights restaurants that are seeing plenty of reservation activity from diners. OpenTable says its Diners’ Choice rankings are updated regularly and are based on diner reviews and activity.
There are some familiar names on the list, along with a few restaurants that might surprise you. Do you agree with the list?
- Casa Pantera
A contemporary Mexican wood-fired chophouse in the Five Points area, Casa Pantera combines Oaxacan-inspired flavors with Riviera Maya influences. OpenTable currently lists it with a 4.7-star rating from more than 1,400 reviews. - Café Central
A longtime El Paso dining institution, Café Central continues to make the list with its upscale Southwestern-inspired cuisine, extensive wine selection and downtown location. It currently holds a 4.7-star rating with more than 2,500 OpenTable reviews. - Ruth’s Chris Steak House – El Paso
For steak lovers, Ruth’s Chris remains a popular choice for everything from celebrations to date nights and business dinners. OpenTable lists the restaurant at 4.6 stars with more than 1,400 reviews. - Weso Steakhouse
Weso brings steakhouse favorites together with an international culinary approach. OpenTable currently lists the restaurant with a 4.4-star rating and more than 600 reviews. - Amar
This Peruvian-Mexican restaurant has become a popular dining destination by combining flavors and dishes inspired by both culinary traditions. Amar currently has a 4.7-star rating on OpenTable.
OpenTable’s list can change as new reviews and reservation activity are factored into its rankings, so consider this a snapshot of some of the restaurants currently attracting the most reservation attention in the El Paso area.
