Reza Pahlavi, The Exiled Crown Prince of Iran, Wants To Help Lead Iran. He Once Lived In Lubbock, Texas

As the United States and Israel continue bombing Iran, there are many talking about the future of Iran and what the nation will look like once the war is over. One man has already announced that he would like to help lead to Iranian transition even though he hasn't been in Iran since 1979, and he also happens to be a former resident of Lubbock, Texas.

Reza Pahlavi Wants to Return To Iran

Reza Pahlavi is an Iranian political activist and the exiled son of Iran's last Shah. The Crown Prince was born in Tehran in 1960 and by the age of 17 he became Iran's youngest pilot. He was sent to the United States to train as a jet fighter and never returned. Since his exile, he has been building opposition to the Iranian government according to Axios. He has wanted to replace the Islamic Republic with a secular, democratic system.

On Friday, he posted a video saying that he has "accepted" the responsibility of serving as Iran's transitional leader. This comes after President Trump had reportedly expressed doubts about the exiled Crown Prince.

Did you know that Reza Pahlavi once lived in Lubbock, Texas? Pahlavi lived in Lubbock from August of 1978 until March of 1979. He trained at Reese Airforce Base and spent some time living in a house just south of 19th Street in Lubbock. Pahlavi also spent time living at Reese Airforce Base due to security reasons according to reports.

One Facebook page had numerous comments from people who remembered his time in Lubbock and remembered the home that had a gated guard house on the property.
