Child Sexual Assault in Lubbock
In April, a juvenile victim spoke out about being sexually assaulted. She also participated in a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) exam and provided DNA evidence of the crime, Everything Lubbock reported.
The minor provided photo evidence of her attacker, 22-year-old Jose Jimenez, by pulling up his social media accounts.
The victim, along with her mother, claimed that she had met Jimenez on the popular social media app Snapchat before he allegedly snuck into her bedroom one night and assaulted her. She also admitted that he committed lewd acts on her, fully aware that she was under the age of consent.

Jimenez Denies Allegations
When police contacted Jimenez and initiated an interview, he admitted that he was indeed the person in the photos that the victim showed authorities, but denied any allegations of sexually assaulting her.
Jimenez was arrested on May 8 and was sent to the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $200,000 bond for one charge of sexual assault of a child.
