Your Lubbock Bus Route Is Moving: See The Brand-New Map

If you use public transportation in or around Lubbock, then you need to know about Citibus' 5-year service plan beginning at the end of September.

This plan was first adopted back in November 2024, and is designed to improve the way public transportation in the Hub City operates, all the way from redesigning routes to modernizing current services.

Phase One Lubbock Map

Phase one, going into effect on Monday, September 28, includes a total of four new and redesigned routes. These include Route 205 (Pink), Route 025 (Purple), Route 211 (Green), and Route 214 (Red). Take a look at the interactive map from the Citibus website. Here's a screenshot:

Route 205 is brand new, spanning from North Indiana to South Quaker and 122nd Street. The intent here is to expand access to transportation in South Lubbock.

Routes 025 and 211 will both be redesigned for traveling convenience. Route 025, formerly known as Route 6, improves connections between Parkway Drive, Dunbar, 50th Street, and even the South Plains Mall. Route 211 will connect Cherry Point to West End.

Finally, Route 214 combines portions of existing routes along Sunrise Canyon up to West End for a more direct travel option.
