Bubba’s 33 Manager Roof Bound Until Lubbock Raises $5K for Veterans
Only in Texas could someone look at a fundraising challenge and say, "You know what? Let's put the boss on the roof."

That's exactly what's happening today at Bubba's 33 in Lubbock, where Managing Partner Marco is taking fundraising to new heights...literally...as part of the restaurant's Raise From The Roof campaign benefiting Homes For Our Troops.
Beginning Thursday at 10 a.m., Marco will climb onto the roof of Bubba's 33 and won't come down until the restaurant reaches its fundraising goal of $5,000.
It's a fun challenge with a serious purpose, and Lubbock has a chance to help make a real difference for America's injured Veterans.
Every Dollar Helps Build Homes for Heroes
The fundraiser supports Homes For Our Troops, a nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted, mortgage-free homes for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans.
These aren't just houses, they're custom-built homes designed to help Veterans regain independence after life-changing injuries sustained while serving our country.

Whether it's wheelchair accessibility, wider doorways, roll-in showers, or other specialized features, every home is tailored to meet the individual needs of the Veteran and their family.
It's one of those causes that's easy to get behind because every dollar goes toward giving back to people who have already sacrificed so much.

Want to Help? There Are Plenty of Ways
The best part is that donating doesn't have to be boring.
Bubba's 33 has turned this fundraiser into a full-blown community event with several ways to pitch in.
Guests can:
- Make a cash donation.
- Purchase exclusive fundraiser hats or T-shirts.
- Buy water balloons to throw at Marco...or maybe even your favorite Bubba's 33 manager if they're feeling brave enough.
And because everybody loves prizes, every donation also gives guests a chance to enter raffles for a variety of giveaways throughout the event.
Honestly...how often do you get permission to throw a water balloon at the management team and support Veterans at the same time?
Lubbock Knows How to Show Up
This isn't the first time Bubba's 33 has stepped up for Homes For Our Troops. Earlier this month, the restaurant hosted its annual Burgers for the Brave eating competition, bringing together members of different military branches to raise awareness and support for the organization. It's become one of the restaurant's favorite annual traditions, and now they're keeping that momentum rolling with another creative fundraiser.

Let's Get Marco Off the Roof
If you've been looking for an excuse to grab lunch on Thursday, this might be the best one you'll find.
Stop by Bubba's 33, make a donation, toss a water balloon if the opportunity presents itself, and help Lubbock hit that $5,000 goal.

The sooner the community reaches it...the sooner Marco gets to climb down.
And that's a win for everybody, especially the Veterans whose lives will be changed because a community decided to come together for a great cause.
