Eddie Ray Routh Found Guilty for Murder of Chris Kyle & Chad Littlefield
A jury in Stephenville, Texas has found Eddie Ray Routh guilty for the 2013 murders of Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield.
The verdict was reached late Tuesday night (Feb. 24). The jury had the option to find Routh guilty, not guilty, or not guilty by reason of insanity for shooting and killing "American Sniper" Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield.
Routh's attorneys argued that he was suffering from mental disorders and wasn't in his right mind when he shot and killed the two men.
A formal sentencing for Routh will happen at a later date, but the standard sentence for murder is life in prison without parole.
