Too Early For The Tree?

Ok so today is officially the start of the holiday season and I have a question? When is it considered too early to put up the Christmas tree? I have a family member who legit put theirs up 2 days ago and I'm thinking, hmmm not a bad idea....

the thing is, you get to enjoy it longer. I normally wait until after Thanksgiving to put mine up but then after Christmas, my kids always say they wish we could leave it up longer. Maybe the key is to put it up earlier? Opinions? Do some of you already have your Christmas tree up or plan to this weekend?
