Spring is here and it's time to plant, toil in the soil and get ready to harvest in the summer and fall. But We must first adhere to these old sayings, wives'-tales, and or superstitions.

Over the past holiday weekend, my wife asked me if I was going to eat watermelon before the 4th of July, and she followed it up with "you know what they say about eating watermelon before the 4th?"

In my family, we grew up believing that if we eat our black eyed peas every January 1st, we would have good luck for the rest of the year...

I'm sure fully aware that we've had full moon for the past couple of nights. My kids and I have noticed it and talked about how 'cool it looked.' I mention that I need to run out and get a haircut and my boys ask why? I explained that I've been told that if you get a haircut during a full moon, your hair will grow quicker.
