A new survey found that during the summer we spend an average of $5,000, throughout our kids childhood, trying to get them to play outside. At first I was being 'Judgemental Judy' thinking to myself, omigosh who does that? Then as I continued to read the article I realized I AM one of those parents! Check this out....

Just the other day, my mother suggested buying the kids an above ground pool so they can swim around in the backyard during the day while I'm at work and she watches them. We also have a trampoline, basketball goal, and every piece of sports equipment known to man. Case in point! The survey found that we as parents will buy anything from sports equipment, games, a trampoline and anything we can think of just to get the kids ' out of our hair' and outside throughout the summer months. Before you go judging, just like I did, make sure you don't fit in this category. lol
