Oh man if you've ever been a struggling single mother, you know that asking for help from others is never easy. Whether it be a little extra monetary help, bills, food is scarce or trying to figure out childcare, some supermoms try to figure it all out on their own. I should know, I've been there. So when I heard about this cool new thing happening in Midland, to help single mothers and so many others, it made my heart happy.

A daycare that will be open 24 hours has officially opened in Midland. To my knowledge, it is one of a kind here in West Texas. Not everyone has the typical 9 to 5 work hours. This single momma at one point was worried about how I was going to do a morning show with kids. Case in point, I come to work at 6 am. I am extremely blessed with a family who stepped up, but not everyone has that.

Tender Steps Daycare and Preschool opened their doors a few months ago. According to yourbasin.com, owner Flourish Oduibiyi, originally from Nigeria says that

she had difficulties finding adequate daycare for her children when she moved here. It took 11 years to complete the necessary requirements to own a daycare here in the U.S. but now she is the only 24-hour facility in Midland.

According to Oduibiyi, 'it is important for parents to know that the childcare is in two separate shifts. This is required by Texas licensing standards to meet student ratio.'

If you have inquiries or would like to fill out an application for childcare, you may call the daycare to answer any questions. The number is (432)400-7973, Tender Steps Daycare and Preschool is located in Midland at 2215 Midland Dr. Suite 4A.
