So there is a reason I quit making New Years resolutions years ago. Because I don't keep them. I'm the worst at saying I'm going to do something and not doing it. It's like my brain says, do the opposite, do the opposite. Therefore, instead of resolutions I 'challenge' myself. I have to call it something different to psych myself out. Weird I know. But it tends to work for me.

When the pandemic hit, since I was home bored, I ordered a bunch of workout equipment. I did very well working out from home and kept my weight loss in check as a result, plus no doubt was pretty darn healthy that year.

Then as many of us do, I got lazy. My workout equipment has been put away and forgotten. Or become a place to hang clothes or just has stuff thrown on top of it hiding it, therefore preventing me from using it because 'out of sight, out of mind.'

This year however my challenge to myself is dusting it off, getting it back out and using it once again. I have close friends and family members who are runners. Like 5 to 6 mile a day runners. I keep telling them I want to run with them but so far the only running I've done this year is to my bed when it's cold out to get cozy and warm under the blankets. Smh. That is a personal challenge this year.

Maybe instead of resolutions, you should try challenging yourself this year. If it makes you feel better by calling it something different like me, maybe just maybe it will work! Best of luck in the New Year!
