1. check the mail- you may find catalogs from her favorite stores, many women receive coupons, mailers, and catalogs from the stores they frequent-a gift certificate from whatever you find is perfect
2. gauge her reaction-tell your girl what one of your buddies is getting his significant other and see what her reaction is, if she seems interested, problem solved, get her the same
3. check her online history-many women do alot of online shopping these days, check the history on your computer at home and you are home free
