This week the Odessa City Council held an open hearing on whether the city should ban plastic bags for business establishments. From what I read, no one was opposed at the meeting to it and they will revisit the item at a future date.

The discussion comes up because of all the plastic bags that are all over the cities in open fields. I do see the bags around every where, but there is also a lot of other 'trash' as well.

I personally don't care whether I get a plastic bag at the grocery store or a paper bag. Do paper bags even exist anymore? I remember growing up and going to the store with my mom and the ONLY bag you would get is a BROWN PAPER BAG? What happen to those and are they gonna make a comeback?

DO you care if you get plastic or paper and do you think it will help clean up the city or cities a little more?
