The El Paso native grew up all around the United States and even spent some time in Thailand. He’s been in radio since 1989 and started right out of high school.

That got us interested in learning more about him and what got him interested in being a DJ, especially at such a young age.

What got you interested in working in radio?

“Casey Kasem. I used to listen to him every Sunday on the radio and I would mimic his countdowns.”

If you weren’t waking up the 432 with your jokes and commentary, what would you be doing to make money?

“I would work for the U.S. Postal Service. Guaranteed!”

Being in the radio business and traveling the country, you’ve heard a lot of music, so who is your favorite singer or band?

“Long live Michael Jackson! And, love me some Rihanna.”

You and Rebecca often discuss TV shows on your show, but what would be surprised to hear that you watch?

“Chopped and Restaurant Impossible. I LOVE the Food Network.”

You also discuss movies so what is your favorite?

“Any and all Star Wars movies. I also love every Vince Vaughn movie.”

Of course, many people dream of making it big in Hollywood, so if you could cast yourself in a movie, what it would be and who would you want to co-star with you?

“I would want to do a romantic comedy with Jessica Alba and yes, please have nude scenes with her. (Laughs).”

While that may not happen, you could win the lottery. If you were given a truck load of money, what would you spend it on?

“I would first buy a Slurpee machine for my new house. I would also buy an island.”

An island could be fun. What is the best place you have ever traveled to?

“San Francisco… Wow!”

Smart phones. Just about everybody has one, but if we were to look at yours, what apps can you not get through the day without checking?

“My ESPN app and Radio Pup.”

Speaking of your day, you wake up very early to start your show. What is the first thing you do in the morning?

“Pee… hello?”

Ok… changing subjects. You’re well liked in the community, but what is your favorite thing about yourself?

“My sense of humor. I laugh every day.. a lot.”

Do you have any pet peeves?

“People who don’t smile.”

We’ve all gotten a kick out of your jokes on the air, but we have to ask, what is the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever done?

“I literally lost the sole of the bottom of my shoe while on a live broadcast, so I went inside the store with only one shoe on and bought some more shoes.”

That is crazy, but is it the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

“I was once hauled up in a cherry picker for nine straight hours to raise money for a great cause.”

Ok, we can’t not ask this question. Who is the most important person in your life?

“My son.”
