When I was little I remember my dad telling me to always look on the ground anywhere you go, because 'you never know what you may find.' I still do it to this day, but apparently have no luck because I've never really found anything of value.

My oldest son however will pick up anything and everything off the ground like lottery tickets, envelopes and any kind of coin all the time hoping to discover some sort of riches and it seems to be paying off for him, literally. If there is money to be found on the ground, be it the parking lot of a grocery store or an amusement park he will find it! More recently he found a scratch-off lottery ticket in a parking lot that turned out to be a $20 winner and a McDonald's Monopoly piece which rewarded him with a free quarter pounder. Both of these may seem like no big deal to the average person but to a teenager, he may as well have won a million dollars in the Powerball!

Despite mom's best effort to discourage him of picking up trash off the ground I guess I will start to encourage in hopes of him sending me into early retirement! lol Sometimes dad does know best as is the case here. Have you found anything good that you picked up off the ground?
