City Of Midland Considering Ban On Texting And Driving – Could You Do It?

Lots of talk lately that the City of Midland is considering a ban on texting while driving. Was in El Paso this past weekend and they have a similar law but you can't even be on the phone while driving. If you put the phone up to your face they can stop you and give you a ticket.

Not sure what the fine would be for the city of Midland proposed ban, but I'm bet it would be like $250 to $500 for first offense.

They way I look at it, if we DROVE 10 years ago with no smart phones and definitely no texting, I'm sure we can do it again these days.  Safety first. I personally hope the law passes. If there is just 1 life or accident that can be prevented it would be worth it.
