What in the Missy-Elliott-I-can't-stand-the-rain is going on here? This is me trying to sweat as much as humanly possible. One of my New Year's resolutions is to sweat more! My kids said I look like a trash bag. lol I do. Also when I purchased this I realized I could have probably just used trash bags but too late, I already bought this 'sauna suit.' We will see how long it lasts without tearing. 

All apples are created equal right? A few years ago I would have said, yes just give me a red one and be done with it. I have always and will always be a firm believer in 'momma knows best.' We all remember things our parents taught us and instilled in us, some lessons more than others. I will never forget when the weather got cold as it is now, my mother was adamant about me covering up or I would get sick. Thus the cotton balls you see in the photo. I have become my mother. lol

What a beautiful weekend it was! The snow that fell was the 2nd snow day in the last 10 days, surprisingly and our family truly enjoyed it as I'm sure many of you did too. I'm baaaaaack! Can you see I've come back from what some would call 'the dark side?' I don't know why, like I have zero explanation for why every few years I switch phones? I go from Android to IPhone and back again. This is the year for IPhone and I have to say, I am happy with my choice. (pay no attention to my fingerprints on the screen, clearly I've been on my phone plenty today!)

With the weather reportedly getting bad this weekend, I guess it will be another binge weekend with shows either recommended, or that look interesting. If your family is like ours, many winter weekends are spent with a good show and even better snacks. This weekend we are checking out a show that is turning out to be very much like Queen of the South.

I came across a story this morning that Glee actress Lea Michele says that as a first time mother, she is contemplating chopping her hair off, getting what she calls a 'mom bob,' and I had myself a good laugh. Not because of the mom bob but because I can totally relate with the hair thing. As a mother of 3, I totally remember how I felt after each was born.

I had a wonderful birthday celebration this year, that included a trip to the Florida Keys. If you have never been, you can imagine the absolute paradise that I was thrilled to experience! However, there are a few things that I discovered about myself on said trip that I had never known before.
