Soup, stew and chili are all comforting foods during cold weather. Which one do Texans prefer?

While it isn’t what you typically think of when regarding a Christmas dinner, one of my favorite winter meals is a steaming bowl of soup.

I said it this morning during the morning show. A cold day calls for some yummy cold weather food. Why are we like this? All day today I've been thinking to myself should I make chili for dinner, my kids would love to have frito pie with it. Or should I make caldo? Some sort of chicken soup? That sounds good too.

Well things got real pretty quick yesterday when we went from summer to winter in a matter of hours! I mean temps dropped from mid 90's to mid 50's like nothing. Don't get me wrong, I am all about it, I love colder weather!

It has been so cold over the last few days, that many have opted to stay indoors. What did everyone do? Hibernate!
