Things I'm not good at #124. We debated on whether to paint pumpkins or carve them recently and I decided to let the fam decide. They went with both as you can see. Back in the day my parents would let us kids carve a pumpkin, dig out the insides and put a little candle inside to light it up and display it outside.
Traditions. Many of us have them. There are birthday traditions, whether you have the exact same birthday cake every year, or eat at your favorite restaurant every single year. Or maybe your family celebrates Thanksgiving and Christmas every year with the same friends or family. Of late, I have to say I have seen more and more Halloween traditions.
Ok I have to admit I've gotten a little lazy over the years when it comes to the pumpkin carving. We used to carve pumpkins in our family, it was a tradition every Halloween but these days painting the pumpkin seems the way to go. I'll use the excuse that people turn their pumpkins into a work of a art if you really think about it!
We had a blast at Fiddlesticks Farms over the weekend, hopefully everyone gets to experience it at least once this season. And by the way, when you do be sure to grab one of these pumpkins! We brought several home to carve into jack-o-lanterns.
It is that time of year! Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere. I love this time of year for many reasons but especially for the pumpkins that people will have on display either in their homes or outside used as decoration.
