When it comes to barbecue, Texans don't play. Many weekends during the summer, specifically this past Memorial Day weekend, it is not unusual for dad to fire up the grill. It is a big deal to get invited to someone's home who can really slay on the grill, on the weekend of a cookout. I drive by this building on a regular basis. I would always see a sign that said 'Southwest Office Building' and sometimes wondered what it is actually used for? If you have ever driven down 42nd st. then you would see it too. However, a few weeks ago I was surprised to see that the building I would pass by and wonder what the heck it was for so long was now being demolished!

I seriously wonder what is going on with me sometimes? lol Yesterday, as I was headed into Midland and saw this I screamed! How did I not know a Chick-fil-A was going up on the corner of Andrews Hwy. and the loop? Well I didn't, but now that I know, I could not be more thrilled!

In case you've been wondering what that shiny new building that's been going up for the last few months off of 42nd St. is, I have an answer for you. The three story establishment at 4037 E. 42nd st. is home to the new My Community Credit Union!
