I visit the Alamo City alot. I have family there that I get to visit often #1 and because obviously there is far more to do there #2. I love the city, I love the atmosphere, it's big but to me has a small town feel. Weird but true. One of the restaurants we frequent, as a mother of 3, is one called Chicken n Pickle. We were there just a couple of weekends ago! We need one of these here in the 432.

I'm such a Halloween-scrooge. Yes I just made that name up. Halloween is my least favorite 'holiday' of the year. I can count on one hand the number of times I have actually dressed up as an adult. Little Rebecca doesn't count because if my parents took me trick or treating I'm sure I loved it! But as an adult not so much.

I am that mom. The mom that doesn't feel the need to drag my kids up and down every single house in our neighborhood just to see how much candy my kids can get. It's not a contest for me. I would rather visit family and close friends and grab a few things and head back home and order pizza and watch fun Halloween movies or something.

Excuse you? I think it is safe to say that school lunch has evolved since I was in jr high and high school. A friend of mine sent me this the other day along with the message, 'all we had was a stinkin snack bar with hot pockets back in the day.' lol It's so true. I remember hearing all about lunch after elementary school. It was a big deal.

When is the last time you were in an airport other than the one here? I've been flying since I was little and I remember airports being large. Like to me at that age it was gigantic and was full of people and we walked a long way to get to our gate and that was it. But adult me takes in all the sights and sounds now and I have to say airports have come a very long way since I was a little Rebecca.

It is so true when they say you should never get rid of your old clothes and shoes, because they could come back in style someday. I have an older sister who had the coolest bell bottoms and wedge heels in the early 80's that I used to play around in as a child. I would have given my right arm to be able to fit in them at the time, I played dress up and felt so glamorous.

Anyone other parent ready to throw their whole kid away? This type of thing seems to happen more when they get back to school. It is not unusual for me to open the fridge, the freezer, the pantry or a cabinet and see this sight. Why me?

So yeah apparently June and July flew by and it is almost time for school to start again. Geez where did the time go? I feel like we were just doing all the 'end-of-school' stuff and here I am shopping for school clothes and downloading school supply lists so we can start all over again.
