Summer is almost here. For many families, it is time to get that vacation time in at work and take the family on a summer vacation that all will enjoy. Or in some cases, families take quick, weekend trips just to get out of dodge. I get both and our family does both. Sometimes, spur of the moment, you just want to find a place to get away and unwind for a few days.
If you are looking for a last-minute Spring Break destination, you're in luck. I have some family members who are actually going to be visiting this family-friendly park soon and I decided to share the info. Yogi Bear's Yellowstone Park Camp-Resorts has 6 locations in Texas. One in Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Burleson, (North Texas) Waller (near Houston), and Canyon Lake near San Antonio.
Thank goodness for TikTok for allowing people to showcase some fabulously unique places to stay in Texas. Were it not for TikTok and @readysetjetset, I wouldn't know about half of these places that I marvel at on the daily. I am typically here for the tropical destination getaways but this house just caught my eye.
Alright fellas, listen up, we are less than a month away from lovers day, Valentine's Day! You may think it is far too early to be thinking about, much less worrying about that day. Not true. I'm going to be real. Your lady may be tired of the usual, flowers, candy, card, dinner. Maybe it is high time to think outside of the box...
Many of us are in serious need of a vacation. Like an actual vacation. NOT a staycation. A couple of weekends ago, my significant other and I had a mini-getaway to a place not too far away and yet it seemed like we were in another world in Marfa, TX. We stayed at a beautiful hotel with a fabulous pool and enjoyed a very relaxing, very chill, no plans weekend.
If you are looking to get away, out of the 4-3-2 like we were, here's a photo of what you can expect if you plan to hit up any rivers in Texas. We decided we wanted to float the river like we've done so many summers before and let me tell you, it is not for the faint of heart. By the way, this picture in no way even comes close to capturing how packed it truly was.
