I know a thing or two about kids getting bored during the summer months. I should, I have 3 kids. I have raised one and currently have a teen at home who will before long start with the typical 'I'm bored' pleas. Over the years I've learned, it is not enough to have the latest, greatest gaming system, every game for said system known to man. The newest Iphone or tablet won't do the trick either. I

Parents, there are not many days left in the school year. Wow! Where did the year go? It flew by. I know as parents, we are counting down the days to hear, 'I'm bored,' while our little ones are counting down to summer freedom! Staying up late, sleeping all day, pool days, sleepovers, outdoor activities and fun!

Look, I get it. Trust me when I say I know the real meaning of Easter and it is such a beautiful celebration. Well, except for 1 little thing. There is something about Easter that I can absolutely do without and I think some moms would agree with me.

It is Elf on the Shelf season y'all! Did your little Elf show up on December 1st ready with his or her little antics for the month of December leading up to Christmas? Ours sure did! It's always fun to see what fun and trouble the elf in your home will get into.

I visit the Alamo City alot. I have family there that I get to visit often #1 and because obviously there is far more to do there #2. I love the city, I love the atmosphere, it's big but to me has a small town feel. Weird but true. One of the restaurants we frequent, as a mother of 3, is one called Chicken n Pickle. We were there just a couple of weekends ago! We need one of these here in the 432.

Traditions. Many of us have them. There are birthday traditions, whether you have the exact same birthday cake every year, or eat at your favorite restaurant every single year. Or maybe your family celebrates Thanksgiving and Christmas every year with the same friends or family. Of late, I have to say I have seen more and more Halloween traditions.
