I remember growing up in the '80s eating some really good food with my parents. Well, to my little adolescent self, it was good anyway. It was typically a weekend thing, do some shopping in Odessa or Midland, then go to a restaurant of mom or dad's choice. They didn't ask me. I would eat at McDonald's every day back in the day if I could. lol

Unpopular opinion post here. I do not know why when I go to a restaurant and order menudo, someone has an opinion about the way I eat it. Can't a girl live? Even Leo has weighed in on my odd choice of what all I put in it and what I eat menudo with.

Recently David Beckham revealed that his wife Victoria eats the exact same thing every single day and suddenly it makes perfect sense. She is so thin and has been since her Spice Girls days!

Family traditions. We all have them. I remember growing up, all of my tia's, tio's, cousin's and everyone would meet at one person's house this time of year, every year and make tamales. I mean I didn't make them, my parents did, all of the adults actually, this was their bonding time and me and my cousins would run around like lunatics playing, yelling, having the best time!

I was able to catch the annual Fourth of July Nathan's hot dog eating contest this year, knowing full well Joey Chestnut was going to win it again but still intrigued nonetheless. I truly never knew they wet the hot dogs and the buns. And how many times those dawgs try to come up. It is so gross but this guy has got it down to a science. I'm impressed.

Ladies, let me set the scene.....you finally get a relaxing evening, preferably a Friday or Saturday, kids are in bed or staying over with friends or relatives and the hubby is watching his baseball game on tv. PERFECT scenario right?
