R.I.P. to another store from my childhood. Payless just announced that they are closing down all 2,100 of their stores across the U.S. I mean, c'mon, if you didn't wear Payless shoes throughout your childhood, did you even have a childhood? First Sears, now this...

Were you aware that this year is the year of La Llorona? The one who as children our parents would threaten us that we would see or would come get us if we acted up! Yeah, that Llorona!

Candy that reminds you of your abuelita or favorite tia. Am I lying? Anytime I see this candy, it reminds me of my childhood when I would go to my wela's house and she would have a candy dish full of these and tell me to grab as much as I wanted.

When you see something that brings back memories from your childhood...wow. Who remembers spreading Elmer's Glue all over your hands then peeling it off? I have no clue why but we all did this when we were young, am I right?

This is as personal as it gets

I know Christmas is long gone but I just had to share one of the best gifts I received this year! Why? Because it reminds me of my childhood. I am and have always been a board game person and growing up, Connect Four was one of my favorites.

One of my favorite childhood games. I had a Simon game that my mom bought me at a garage sale. Loved that thing! Unfortunately most of our children will never get to know the fun of playing games like this anymore.

A couple of coworkers and I were having a candid discussion this morning about toys we were not allowed to play with when we were little. We all had different answers for different reasons. lol I was not allowed to play with Play-Doh when I was little, for the obvious, 'it's too messy!'
