I'm sorry, where was this when I was a little girl? I came across the story of a local Odessa woman who apparently places books outside her home for children in her neighborhood and pretty much anyone in the community who wants to drop by and grab a couple to read throughout the summer.
Is your kitchen table looking like this right now? It's that time of year folks! Literally days away from the end of school. Cue the graded papers, artwork, textbooks, folders, leftover school supplies and spiral notebooks that were used throughout the year. You may or may not get the lunchbox they 'just had to have' before school started back because that might have already found it's way to the
Little known fact about Rebecca....wait for it....I love to read! My favorite subjects in school were English and Reading and I had great grades in both growing up. Yep I'm a weirdo. Can you imagine my book reports back in the day? No Cliffs Notes for this girl. lol
When we took a trip to Florida recently for our CMN conference I noticed things at the airport that are either new or I had just never noticed before. Week #2 begins of back-to-school fun! My little one's backpack is full of papers, pamphlets and forms to sign and the other day he came home with this. It is Scholastic Book ordering time. lol I totally remember Scholastic books from when I was in Elementary school, especially the book fair! It was a treat getting to go buy books every year. lol
Believe it or not I am a reader. I love to read books, specifically autobiographies about celebrities. Right now I'm reading J Lo's book True Love, it was given to me as a gift because I have to physically have it in hand to read. I have a friend who decided to read the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy and she downloaded the audio book. No thank you!
