Why You Can’t Miss The Giant Eye In Downtown Dallas
Dallas, Texas is home to a sculpture that is definitely "eye-catching".
The Giant Eye Of Dallas!
In downtown Dallas there is a giant sculpture of an eye. Giant probably doesn't accurately conjure up how big this thing is. The giant blue and bloodshot eye is 30 feet tall. While some don't think the sculpture best represents Dallas in the best possible way, it has been an absolute hit on social media with people taking pictures and selfies in front of it.
The Giant Nose Of Dallas?
Dallas residents and others were subjected to quite the prank this past April Fools Day when word got out that the giant eye would be replaced with a giant nose. Not only would this nose be huge, it would also emit Dallas smells like "hot concrete" and "tortillas". More than a few people fell for the story of the giant "scratch and sniff nose" story, including the person who assigned it to me.
Where You Can See The Giant Eye In Dallas
So with the prank out of the way, let's back to the giant eye. First off, how can you see it "eye-to-eye"? Well, this tourist attraction is so well know that it pops right up on Google Maps. Then again, I suppose anyone can remember that it's sandwiched between Elm and Main, between North Akard and South Ervay (okay, maybe that last part wasn't easy, but the first part was). Here's a lookL
Again, if you're interested just Google "Giant eyeball Dallas" or put it into your Google Maps. This is a big, big eyeball and tourist attraction that kicks back inside a fenced garden. You should have no problem finding this thing at all.
