Texas High School Volleyball Preseason Rankings Revealed

The UIL Texas high school volleyball season is underway.

Summer practices started weeks ago, and many teams have already played a few matches. District play for many will begin in late September. State champions will be crowned November 20-22 at the State Meet at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland.

Texas High School Volleyball Pre-Season Rankings

The Texas Girls Coaches Association has released its pre-season volleyball rankings. Keep in mind that these rankings are based on how teams finished during last season's playoff run.

For instance, since there was a Division 1 and Division 2 bracket in Classes 2A through 6A, the rankings show two number one teams in those brackets.

Needless to say, as we get deeper into the season, these rankings will probably change quite a bit.

No Texas volleyball team had a perfect record last year. Byron Nelson came the closest with a 40-1 mark. Their only loss came to Highland Park.
