Twinkies

Hello Deep Fried Twinkies that I no longer have to make the trip to the Texas State Fair for! I am usually in a hurry when I'm at the grocery store but this particular day I had a little bit of time to look. And when I saw these I was glad I did!

It's that time of year for goodies like this. Aside from the yummy Christmas tree cakes, I spotted these peppermint Twinkies! Yum! Are you the kind of person that snatches up the seasonal snacks? Peppermint, gingerbread, fruit cake something or other. lol

Remember when these were only a 'thing' at the fair? While grocery shopping recently I discovered you can now buy deep fried twinkies! Chocolate ones at that. Yum! Not surprisingly I saw several baskets with a box thrown in. lol

When I heard that the Hostess snack company was going out of business and shutting down, instantly I thought, noooono Twinkies! I'm sure that was the reaction from lots of peeps. But then I realized, wait a minute, it's not just about the infamous Twinkies....
