Scoreboard Selfie Is the Future of Super-Fandom
Not since the creation of the wave has the fan's stadium experience been so dramatically changed.
A fan at Wednesday's Indians-Tigers game in Cleveland managed to pull off something unique: the scoreboard selfie. That is, he snapped a selfie while he was caught on the Jumbotron.
Considering a person spotted on the scoreboard is usually on the screen for, say, 3-5 seconds, you've gotta give this guy credit for thinking quickly enough to whip out his phone and snap the photo. That's some major league reaction time right there.
It's the modern day version of looking at yourself in a mirror that is across from another mirror and, aside from catching a ball -- or five -- in the stands, probably the most memorable thing that can happen at the ol' ballpark.
