Pharrell Williams has assaulted the charts and inspired thousands of words from critics this summer because of songs he's featured on like Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' and Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines.' The attention to his music hasn't meant his personal life has been brought to the forefront though. The big hit producer is soft spoken, but he's letting the public in on his love life in an interview on 'Today.'

The Neptunes producer speaks with reporter Savannah Guthrie about his lady, model and designer Helen Lasichanh. The two have been engaged since last year. "It's awesome," the Virginia native shares. "I can't tell anyone what to do. I can't give anyone relationship advice, but the bestie thing is awesome ... Every night is like a sleepover."

The couple have a son named Rocket -- Pharrell has a tattoo of the missile on his arm. The songwriter compares the birth of his child to his music. "I always say that's the best song that I've ever co-written," he admits.

As an ode to his son, there's a song he created called 'Rocket's Theme' -- a child's motivational anthem -- on the first 'Despicable Me' soundtrack.

He also touches on meeting collaborator Chad Hugo in band camp when he was 12 and coming up with his best songs while in the shower -- including Nelly's sexual and very sweaty 'Hot in Herre.'
