If you're needing to pay child support in Texas, now you have even more incentive to get that check in the mail.

The Texas Attorney General's Office is planning to use a new tool this fall where parents you haven't paid child support for at least six months will be able to block their vehicle registration renewal.

They can already revoke driver's licenses for non payers, but this is a new one. While some say that could make it harder to catch up on payments. (Can't make money if you can't drive to work, etc.)

Parents who are behind on payments would get notices before anything happens so it shouldn't be a shock to anyone when/if it happens.
