While the highly anticipated political showdown with President Trump didn't exactly materialize, Kendrick Lamar left fans with no regrets following his epic performance at the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship Game on Monday night (Jan. 8).

Taking place in front of a massive crowd in Atlanta's famed Centennial Olympic Park, the halftime show saw K. Dot perform a medley of hits from his universally acclaimed DAMN. album along with a track from the upcoming Black Panther soundtrack.

First off, K. Dot performed "DNA," a furious Mike WiLL Made-IT-produced track seemingly tailor-made for occasions like this one. It pretty much defines the term "stadium status." Next up was "ELEMENT," which saw Kung Fu Kenny flip the explicit lyrics on the track into two-syllable word replacements pretty seamlessly. Flames were intermittently bursting behind him almost the whole way through.

For his next track, K. Dot delivered an energetic live rendering of "HUMBLE," the track that pretty much forecasted just how fire would be unleashed when DAMN. was finally released. He closed things out with a SZA-less performance of "All the Stars," the first offering from Black Panther: The Album.

Oh. And, the Crimson Tide for Alabama took home a 26-23 overtime victory over the Georgia Bulldogs by the end of the game. You can say there was definitely a lot going on.
